Compartir material pornográfico también puede suponer penas de prisión y multas, en un sistema legal basado en la ley islámica sharia.
El sábado por la noche se difundieron en medios sociales videos y fotografías en los que aparecían una docena de mujeres desnudas, alineadas en un balcón en el lujoso barrio Marina de Dubái a plena luz del día.
Los detenidos por el video “indecente” fueron derivados para ser procesados, indicó la policía. “Estos comportamientos inaceptables (…) no reflejan los valores y ética de la sociedad emiratí”, indicó el comunicado policial.
Fue una conmoción en la federación de siete reinos árabes, donde comportamientos menos llamativos como besarse en público o beber alcohol sin licencia han enviado a gente a la cárcel. El diario afín al estado The National dijo que parecía ser una “maniobra publicitaria”, sin entrar en detalles.
